Newsrooms are known for their “salty” workplace culture where “f bombs” fly as frequently as breaking news alerts sound; gallows humor long used to manage the stress of having a front row seat to death and destruction.
Both of these mainstays of newsroom culture are becoming increasingly problematic in today’s multi-generational newsrooms.
