About me
Tisha Mays is an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Communication at the University of Toledo. She teaches a variety of courses including Audio Production I, Audio Production |I, Podcasting, Introduction to Social Media, and Communication Principles and Practices. In addition to her teaching duties, she also serves as the Faculty Advisor for the University of Toledo's college radio station WXUT. Tisha was a radio broadcaster for 20 years hosting morning radio and middays. Further, she was a Program Director, Internship Coordinator, and Production Director. She is the founder of a 501(c)3, aMAYSing Kids Broadcasting and Media Mentorship Program. aMAYSing Kids leverages broadcasting and mentorship to teach communication skills, reading, and writing to kids in underserved communities. She earned her Ph.D. at Bowling Green State University.
