Jon Vandergriff (MFA Screenwriting, USC) has written professionally for sitcoms, including
Coach and
Home Improvement, serving on the latter as Staff Writer and then Supervising Producer. He was also Co-Executive Producer on
Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Along the way, he wrote sitcom pilots for NBC and The WB and has also had two screenplays optioned by Hollywood-based production companies. More recently, he wrote episodes of the HBO Max children’s series,
Bea’s Blocks. Jon is also a lover and inventor of board games with three games published. His gaming app
A Way With Words was recently picked up by EA for their website,
pogo.com. Jon teaches screenwriting and television writing at Columbia College, Stephens College, Chapman University, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Long Beach, and Cal State Northridge.
