Robin Canfield is an accomplished storyteller, photographer, and documentary filmmaker. He co-founded Actuality Abroad and leads documentary workshops around the world, producing films that highlight the efforts of local changemakers. Under his guidance, Actuality Abroad has mentored hundreds of emerging mediamakers and produced over 200 documentary storytelling projects about changemakers around the world. Robin’s expertise on collaborative documentary storytelling has been published by the Huffington Post, the Student Filmmakers Magazine, and in academic textbooks. A regular speaker at media festivals and educational conferences, Robin continues to advocate for a shift towards a more collaborative and cooperative approach in telling stories about real life.
